California Real Estate
California (CA) is the third largest state in the United States. Nicknamed "The Golden State", it contains around 163,707 square miles of California land. With such large amounts of land California takes advantages of the major industries which include agriculture (including grape vineyards), oil, mining, electronics, movie producing/entertainment, and of course tourism.
Not only is state of California itself huge, but California real estate is huge too! There are many cities which are vast in real estate but FSBO California is the most popular way to sell a home. For those of you who don't know what fsbo CA is, basically its when a property is offered for sale directly by its owner and without assistance from a licensed real estate brokerage (meaning there are NO real estate commissions associated with the sale); in other words 'for sale by owner California'.
So what are the top California real estate producing cities?
The first city is Los Angeles, home of Hollywood, the second largest city in the U.S., and home to nearly 12.9 million residents. FSBO Los Angeles is most popular in the downtown area, Redondo Beach area, Palos Verdes area, Rancho Palos Verdes area, and Long Beach area. With its Mediterranean-like climate Los Angeles is an amazing city to buy real estate in, or to sell your current home and upgrade! The only downfall to Los Angeles real estate is the fact it sometimes has earthquakes which often requires you to purchase earthquake insurance. It's a small price to pay for such year-round beauty though.
The second city is Sacramento and is the capital of California having the county seat of Sacramento County. With almost 476,000 residents fsbo Sacramento has saved millions in brokerage commissions throughout the years. Many city neighborhoods have adopted the Sacramento for sale by owner philosophy of real estate: Sierra Oaks, Newton Booth, Greenhaven, Meadowview, Brentwood, Colonial Heights, Elmhurst, Tahoe Park, Natomas, Del Paso Heights and many more! Sacramento also has a Mediterranean-like climate but is a bit milder than Los Angeles. However, if you want to live in Yolo County be cautious and get your flood insurance as much of it is in a flood plain.
The third CA city rich in real estate is San Diego, located on the southwest tip of California and also serves as a gateway to bordering Mexico. With over 1.2 million residents in this city it easily makes San Diego the eight largest city in the U.S. FSBO San Diego is easily one of the most recognizable ways to sell a home fast. San Diego real estate includes the ever popular areas of Carlsbad and San Marcos. San Diego is a very nice place to live and is rich in tourism mainly due to the weather. San Diego has more of a sub-tropical kind of climate which brings warmer weather and dry climate. Due to this fact wildfires are more prone to happen in San Diego.
The fourth and final city is San Francisco, home of the ever popular Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz prison, and most remembered for the "California Gold Rush" of 1848. With over 760,000 residents fsbo San Francisco is the only way to sell your home. Each year as San Francisco for sale by owner home selling becomes more and more popular the totals saved real estate commissions are in the high millions. San Francisco is located on the far western coast of California and is a great place to get sushi. However, if you aren't a fan of earthquakes this is not your city because minor earthquakes occur on a regular basis here.
